Paddlesports Leadership Award

All Leadership Award training courses consist of two days on the water. Looking at the following aspects of Leadership and Safety.

• Participant Focused Leadership Skills

• Personal Paddling Skills

• Rescue Skills

• Underpinning background knowledge, understanding and experience.

Ratios are 1 to 6 for all training.

​

Assessment - will assess the above modules. The ratios will be either be 1:1 or 1:2 for one day assessment and a maximum of 1:4 for a two day assessment. 

​

For this award the candidates would be expected to have their own equipment.  Kit hire can be arranged prior to the course.

BCAB Instructor Award.

BCAB SUP Instructor

BCAB Paddlesports Instructor

All Instructor course consist of two days on the water and in a classroom. Looking at the following aspect of the Instructor award .

• Rescue

• Games with Aims

• Journey

Course ratio is minimum 1:4 and maximum 1:6 . Successful completion of the course a recommendation will go to BCAB to verify.

Paddlesports Safety and  Rescue Course.

This is a requisite for the Paddlesports Instructor course. Its a one day course on rescuing of people and different types of craft, ie. SUP Canoe and Kayak.

BCAB Shelter Water SUP Coach.

BCAB White Water SUP Coach.

All coach training course consist of two days on the water and in the classroom, looking at:

•  Practical Coaching,

• Rescues,

• Personal Skills,

• Background knowledge, understand and Experience.

Course ratio for training is 1:6 maximum and Assessment 1:2​

For this award the candidates would be expected to have their own equipment.  Kit hire can be arranged prior to the course.

Sheltered Waters SUP Award,

The duration  of this course will be approximately two days to cover all aspects of the course. The course will cover the following modules

• Skills

• After Session

• Future Development.

 Start Course is for first time in their chosen craft.
